The 49 questions golfers ask your pro shop

A ready-made checklist for your website FAQ, your staff's phone answers, or an AI receptionist. Write each answer once; use it everywhere.

Updated September 25, 2026 · Tee Line Solutions

How to use it: answer each question in one or two sentences, the way you'd say it on the phone. Add a "good through" date to anything seasonal (rates, hours), so outdated answers don't linger. Leave out what you don't offer, or say plainly that you don't.

The questions, by topic

  • Do you have senior, junior or twilight rates?
  • Is the cart included? What's the cart fee?
  • What are your 9-hole rates?
  • Do you sell memberships or season passes?

  • What's your lightning policy?
  • Is it cart path only today?

  • Do you give rain checks?
  • How many holes before a rain check no longer applies?
  • Do rain checks expire?
  • Can rain checks be used on weekends?

Policies

  • What's the dress code?
  • Can I wear jeans or cargo shorts?
  • Are metal spikes allowed?
  • Can I bring outside food, alcohol or a cooler?
  • How old do kids have to be to play? Do they need an adult?

Booking

  • What's your cancellation or no-show policy?
  • Do you pair up singles? What's the largest group?

Writing answers that work on the phone

  • Lead with the answer. "Eighteen with a cart on weekends is $62" beats a paragraph about rate tiers.
  • One number per sentence. Callers can't scroll back.
  • Date anything seasonal. Summer rates end; the answer should end with them.
  • Say what happens next. "Book online at…" or "the shop will call you back."

Tee Line's setup questionnaire uses this same list, so a course's approved answers become what the AI receptionist says, word for word.
